OUR
ENGINEER:Our longtime
friend Robert Berry of Keith Emerson, Carl Palmer "The Power of Three"
engineers most of Sfarzo Productions songs. San Francisco BAMMIE award-winner
(Best Independent Producer), Berry is best known as a progressive rock veteran who struck gold in 1988 as
the frontman for , with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer (keys and drum wizards
of Emerson, Lake, & Palmer) with that
band's To the Power of Three hit single
"Talkin' 'bout" on Geffen Records.
In
a time when epic acts like Yes and Asia were navigating the tricky transition
from progressive rock to popular music, Berry worked alongside some of
the best guitarists (Steve Howe of Yes, Gary Pihl of Boston, and Sammy
Hagar), keyboard players (Geoff Downes of Asia, Alan "Fitz"
Fitzgerald of Night Ranger, and Christopher North of Ambrosia), drummers
(Carl Palmer of ELP, Simon Phillips of Toto, David Lauser of Sammy Hagar,
and Burleigh Drummond of Ambrosia), bass players (Joe Puerta of Ambrosia)
and producers (Bruce Fairbairn). Berry distinguishes himself through precision
productions and intricate song structures. Overall, Berry's songs tend
toward accessibility and contain the perspectives of the common man.
